At the end of the course, students should have a profound understanding of current research in Quantitative Biology and how to successfully combining modeling with experimental data in Biology.

Vakinhoudelijk
Description of content. A monthly journal club (afternoon-early evening, with pizza and drinks) for high-level discussions of interdisciplinary papers in the Life Sciences. The paper discussions will be led by at least two staff members with a joint background in experimental and theoretical science. In addition to acquiring knowledge and insight, this monthly gathering is intended to stimulate coherence and collaboration among the students.
Literature/study material used: Recent interdisciplinary papers on Quantitative Biology. Students will play an active role in the selection of papers, present them during the sessions, and participate in the discussion.
