Course aim
- Acquiring knowledge and learning how to formulate a research question and motivation.
- Learning how to design a research strategy to answer this question.
- Developing judgement and critical insights into ideas, theories, opinions, methods... related to the subject of your choice
- Further practicing your academic writing and presentational skills. Developing strong communication skills by means of discussion, presentation, exchange... with experts, peers...
- Learning about publishing in academic journals and about academic journal publishing cultures

The general goal of this course is to prepare students for their thesis research in year 2. Focus: on learning to publish in an academic journal; choosing an academic journal in relation to the students research interest.
