- Final exam: this tests the reading and writing skills you have acquired during the second half of the semester.
- Presentation: this tests your speaking/presenting skills by using the words and grammar you have learned. The discussion session afterwards enhances your daily conversation skills.

Vakinhoudelijk
- In order to practice reading and speaking skills and get in touch with modern Chinese language use and culture, students are asked to read one Chinese news every week and retell the story in front of the class. For practicing hand-writing, students are asked to re-write the news story in their own words after the class.
- For practicing reading and writing skills, students are asked to read one story book from HSK 4 level and write a book summary/review in Chinese at the end of the course.
- Conversation skill is practiced extensively during the lessons. Before each lesson, students are asked to preview the new words and texts from each chapter and mainly focus on making dialogues, conducting debates or other speaking activities with peers in class.
- Listening skill is practiced by watching Chinese films and conducting in-class discussions, which is also an exploration of Chinese culture and society.
- Speaking and presentation skills are further practiced by students giving presentations in Chinese.
- Field trips to China town or a Chinese exhibition may be organized to encourage the use of language and cultural knowledge in real life.
