Psychology of Language (2025/2026: Period 1)
Course aim
• have acquired basic knowledge about theoretical concepts and research in psycholinguistics, especially regarding processes of language comprehension and language production, language acquisition and language disorders, as well as the interaction between the language system and other cognitive abilities;
• have developed an understanding of basic research and techniques in psycholinguistics;
• have developed understanding (on elementary level) of the conceptual consistency between different areas of psycholinguistic research;
• have become acquainted with the general principles of research design, especially the design of experimental linguistic research.

All lectures will be taught in English, but students may always ask questions and participate in the discussion in Dutch. Students may complete assignments and the exam in Dutch or in English.
